Pop icon and style guru, Victoria Beckham, recently launched a limited-edition collection with Target. The good news is that the collection extends to plus sizes! I don't expect any less from fashion brands, and I believe that all fashion retailers should offer plus size clothing, but I was excited to not have to go try squeezing into a size 14 at the local Target. Victoria Beckham might as well start including plus size clothing in her main stream collection, because I am in love with this one! Before I get into the details of what I'm wearing, I'm just gonna take a moment to rave about the stunning campaign and style of the collabroation.
The collection is classic and on trend. It includes an array of apparel and accessories for women, girls, toddlers and babies. Many of the pieces have original designs and prints, and most of them are under $40! The quality of this collection and the detail in design are just amazing. From the pressed flower print skirts to the scallop detail rompers, Victoria nailed it. These Black Satin Calla Lily Pants I'm wearing are one of the front pieces of the campaign. I immediately fell in love with the design, and rushed to Target to find it. The fit is amazing, and the length works on my 5'11 frame. I would have loved a longer hem for that floor length look, but I still like the way it fits. If you're under 5'11, then lucky you! As far as sizing, I had to size up by one to get the looser fit I was going for. The pants go up to a plus size 26W.
The White Button Down Top is so classic. I can see myself styling it over and over again. The fabric feels amazing and not like the $30 it costs. I also sized up in the shirt because I have bigger arms, and I wanted that free-flow style around the bust. Again, I am 5'11, so the sleeves are a bit shorter on me. I would have loved for the cuffs to drape over my wrists, but sadly they don't. The shirt goes up to a plus size 3x.
I accessorized with a vintage black bag, gold stud earrings, and simple ankle strap sandals. I keep my hair and make-up simple as well.
I've selected some of my favorite pieces from the collection for this blog post, so make sure you scroll through and shop. I'll be featuring another one of the pieces on my blog soon, so stay tuned. Send me a message or head over to my Instagram @fashiononacurve, and let me know which pieces are your favorites! Till next time.
